Jamey Gay started his second stint as head athletic trainer in 1999. He held the position at Centre from 1988 to 1995 before serving as program director for the McDowell Wellness Center in Danville.

In addition to being athletic trainer Jamey is in his fourth year as assistant athletic director for student services which involves overseeing intramural, recreation and club sport activities.

Gay earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education at the University of Kentucky and a master's in sports medicine at the University of Virgina. He is also the medical director for Kentucky's Bluegrass State Games.
