Sports Sponsorship
The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) sponsors
conference championships in 20 sports, including 10 for
men and 10 for women. The SCAC currently hosts conference
championships in baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball,
men's cross country, women's cross country, field hockey, football,
men's golf, women's golf, men's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's
soccer, softball, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and
diving, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's outdoor track and
field, women's outdoor track and field, and women's volleyball.
The fall season includes championships in men's and women's cross
country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer, and
women's volleyball. The winter is highlighted by men's and women's
basketball, and men's and women's swimming and diving. The spring
season is capped off with championships in baseball, men's and
women's golf, men's lacrosse, women's softball, men's and women's
tennis, and men's and women's outdoor track and field.
The SCAC annually sends numerous teams and individuals to NCAA championships with success, including 50 teams in 2008-09.
