SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference (SCAC) named 1,040 student-athletes to the 2012 SCAC
Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total is the
third-highest for a single period in the history of the award.
Since its inception in the fall of 1997, just over 20,260
student-athletes have achieved recognition for their contributions
in the classroom.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point
average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity
athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
