SUWANEE, Ga. - On back to back days at the 2010
NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at
the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, Trinity University's
Lindsay Martin and Hayley Emerick posted national championship
performances on the 1- and 3-meter boards respectively - producing
the first individual national championships for both Trinity and
the SCAC in women's swimming and diving.

history. Top 20 Moments homepage
Martin captured 1-meter honors, registering a score of 472.25
and outdistancing second-place Sarah Ficarro of SUNY-Fredonia by
nearly 15 points (457.30). Emerick posted a winning score of 514.15
in the 3-meter finals, after setting an NCAA record of 517.10 in
the preliminaries. Martin finished second on the 3-meter board with
a score of 490.90.
“This is the greatest group of ladies I have ever had the
privilege to work with,” said Trinity diving coach Stan
Randall, “including the ones back home. They put their hearts
and souls into Trinity diving.”
The duo led Trinity to a 16th-place team finish (71
points) - tying for the program's highest-ever finish at
the national meet.
