Cross Country - Week 6
The SCAC Cross Country season is heading into the final weekend tune up prior to the conference championship meet on October 28th. Last weekend’s highlights included the Trinity women taking home second-place in the Our Lady of the Lake Classic, while on the men’s side of things Southwestern was the top SCAC finisher at the Dallas Baptist/Old Glory Gallop finishing 16th out of 28 squads. MEN'S SCHEDULE - WOMEN'S SCHEDULE

Men's Runner of the Week - Brian Armijo, Southwestern University
Brian Armijo of Southwestern University, a junior from Albuquerque, N.M., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run from Friday, October 6 through Saturday, October 7.  Full Release 
 
Women's Runner of the Week - Sophia Munoz, Trinity University
Sophia Munoz of Trinity University, a first-year runner from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run from Friday, October 6 through Saturday, October 7.  Full Release  


Golf - Week 4
The Trinity Tigers hosted their annual Alamo City Classic event this week and four SCAC programs traveled to San Antonio to compete. On the men’s side, the host Tigers took home the team title, while Southwestern finished tied for fifth, Southwestern came in seventh and Texas Lutheran rounded on the SCAC squads in ninth. The Trinity women also grabbed the top team honor, while Southwestern finished runner-up and St. Thomas and Texas Lutheran came in fifth and seventh respectively. It is another busy week of SCAC golf as Southwestern, Trinity, Texas Lutheran, Centenary and Dallas will be in action on the men’s side, while Trinity, Texas Lutheran, Dallas and St. Thomas will tee it up on the women’s side. MEN'S SCHEDULE - WOMEN'S SCHEDULE

Men's Golfer of the Week - Jacob Mason, Trinity University 
Jacob Mason of Trinity University, a junior from Westminster, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, October 4 through Tuesday, October 10.  Full Release  

Women's Golfer of the Week - Erin Flynn, Trinity University
Erin Flynn of Trinity University, a senior from League City, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, October 4 through Tuesday, October 10.  Full Release  


Men's Soccer - Week 6
Through two weeks of SCAC Men’s Soccer action, Texas Lutheran (12-1-0, 3-1-0), Trinity (8-1-2, 3-1-0) and Southwestern (7-1-3, 3-1-0) sit tied atop the league table with nine points apiece. Colorado College (7-2-1, 2-0-0), which remains the lone unbeaten in SCAC play after taking a week off from conference competition sits tied with Austin College (7-4-0, 2-1-0) in fourth with six points apiece. League action returns Friday night as Colorado College hosts Southwestern, Centenary (3-6-2, 0-3-0) travels to Dallas (1-7-3, 0-2-1) and St. Thomas squares off against Austin College in Sherman.  STANDINGS - SCHEDULE - STATSISTICS

Offensive Player of the Week - Mofe Ariyo, Southwestern University
Mofe Ariyo of Southwestern University, a senior forward from Toronto, Canada, has been named the SCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week from Monday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 8th. Full Release  

Defensive Player of the Week - Pieter Blank, Trinity University
Pieter Blank of Trinity University, a senior defender from The Hague, The Netherlands has been named the SCAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week from Monday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 8th. Full Release  


Women's Soccer - Week 6
The first week of conference play in SCAC Women’s Soccer action is complete as Texas Lutheran (6-3-3, 2-0-0), Trinity (5-4-2, 2-0-0) and Southwestern (4-6-2, 1-0-1) all remained unbeaten in league action. This year marks the 15th-straight season Trinity has open SCAC play unbeaten through two fixtures, while it is the third and second-straight season respectively for Southwestern and Texas Lutheran to achieve that mark. SCAC play continues on Friday as Centenary (1-8-2, 0-2-0) will travel to Dallas (3-7-1, 1-1-0), St. Thomas (1-2-4, 0-1-1) takes on Austin College (5-5-1, 1-1-0) in Sherman, Southwestern hosts Trinity and Schreiner (1-8-0, 0-2-0) will go on the road to face Texas Lutheran. STANDINGS - SCHEDULE - STATISTICS

Klarissa Martinez of Texas Lutheran University, a sophomore midfielder from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 8th. Full Release  

Defensive Player of the Week - Bailey Meyer, Trinity University
Bailey Meyer of Trinity University, a senior defender from Southlake, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 8th. It is the second consecutive week she has earned POTW honors. Full Release  


Swimming & Diving - Week 1 
The 2023-24 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving season got underway with three programs in action on both the men’s and women’s side. Centenary, McMurry and Ozarks all dove into the water to open the year, while Colorado College, Trinity, Southwestern and St. Thomas, which is making in NCAA debut all open their seasons this week. MEN'S SCHEDULE - WOMEN'S SCHEDULE

Volleyball - Week 6
Texas Lutheran (15-4, 7-1) and St. Thomas (13-6, 7-2) vaulted into second and third place respectively after posting perfect records in league play last weekend. The Bulldogs are off to their second-straight 7-1 start in league play, while the Celts are off to their best start through nine SCAC matches in program history. SCAC action continues this week as Trinity (17-3, 7-0) is set to host St. Thomas, Texas Lutheran, Schreiner (11-8, 3-4), Southwestern (8-8, 3-5) and Colorado College (9-9, 5-3) for nine matches over two days.  STANDINGS - SCHEDULE - STATISTICS
