Cross Country - Week 4 
In a light week for SCAC cross country squads with just three programs in action, Colorado College stole the headlines. The Tigers raced at the highly competitive John McNichols Invitational with the women capturing the team title making a statement against five teams in the top 10 of the national rankings, while the men finished 13th. SCAC cross country action continues this week as Centenary and Dallas are headed to the Nicholls State XC Invitational and Concordia, Ozarks and St. Thomas will race at the Chile Pepper Cross Countr Festival. Men's Runner of the Week - Vincent Mangat, Colorado College
Vincent Mangat of Colorado College, a first-year runner from Boulder, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.  Full Release  

Women's Runner of the Week - Isabel Olson, Colorado College
Isabel Olson of Colorado College, a senior from Middlebury, Vt., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.  Full Release  


Football - Week 3
McMurry (2-1, 2-0) jumped out to a perfect 2-0 start in SCAC play after knocking off Texas Lutheran (2-1, 1-1), while Centenary (1-2, 1-1) secured its first NCAA win since the 1940s after defeating Austin College (0-3, 0-1) last Saturday. SCAC Football continues this week as Lyon (1-2, 0-1) hosts Texas Lutheran and McMurry travels to Austin College. STANDINGS - SCHEDULE - STATISTICS

D'Qavion Lemons of Centenary College, a sophomore defensive lineman from Shreveport, La., has been named the SCAC Football Defensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 21. Full Release 

Special Teams Player of the Week - Jax Rodriguez, McMurry University
Jax Rodriguez of McMurry University, a first-year placekicker from Lago Vista, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, September 21. Full Release 


Golf - Week 2
The fall portion of the SCAC golf schedule continued last week with five men’s programs in action and two women’s team hitting the links. On the men’s side, Southwestern tied for first at the Rhodes College Fall Invite and McMurry finished second at the UMHB Fall Intercollegiate. In women’s action, Trinity took home fourth at the competitive UW-Whitewater TPC Invite. This week, the Schreiner and Trinity men head west to compete in the Redlands/Bulldogs Fall invite, while Concordia, McMurry, Schreiner and tee it up at the UMHB/Legends Cup in women’s competition. MEN'S SCHEDULE - WOMEN'S SCHEDULE

Men's Golfer of the Week - Iain Griggs, University of Dallas
Iain Griggs of University of Dallas, a junior from Madison, Ala., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Sunday, September 22 through Tuesday, September 24.  Full Release

Men's Soccer - Week 4
The opening weekend of SCAC Men’s Soccer action is on deck with six different fixtures scheduled over Friday and Saturday. Highlights include Texas Lutheran (4-0-1) at Southwestern (5-0-1) and St. Thomas (3-2-0) traveling to take on Colorado College (5-1-2). Offensive Player of the Week - Giovanni Casias, University of the Ozarks
Giovanni Casias of University of the Ozarks, a first year midfielder from Keller, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 16th through Sunday, September 22nd. Full Release  

Defensive Player of the Week - Luke Chandler, Trinity University
Luke Chandler of Trinity University, a junior defender from Glasnow, Scotland, has been named the SCAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 16th through Sunday, September 22nd. Full Release  


Women's Soccer - Week 4
The fourth week of the 2024 SCA Women’s Soccer season saw conference teams post a 5-11-1 mark, with Austin College (6-0-2), Trinity (4-1-2), St. Thomas (4-1-2), Southwestern (2-3-1) and Centenary (1-4-1) all collected a victory. The ‘Roos  are off to their best start in program history and their current unbeaten streak of eight games is the longest such streak since AC joined the SCAC prior to the 2006 season. Laren Gradt of Southwestern University, a senior forward from Austin, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 16th through Sunday, September 22nd. Full Release

Volleyball - Week 4
The first conference matches of the season were played this past weekend as Austin College (9-6, 2-0), Southwestern (10-1, 1-0) and Colorado College (5-6, 1-0) got out to perfect starts in league play, highlighted by the Pirates defeating Trinity (6-5, 1-1) for the first time since the 2018 season.
