LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Texas Lutheran third baseman Alex Cornman was named to the inaugural D3baseball.com Team of the Week for the 2020 season.
Cornman hit .700 in the Bulldogs' three-game road series sweep of Hardin-Simmons last weekend. The junior from Georgetown, Texas, drove in six runs, scored five, belted a home run, tripled twice, and had two doubles. He drove in four and went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and a stolen base in the 16-3 victory. In the 6-5 win in the finale, Cornman went 3-for-5 and hit a solo home run in the ninth that proved to be the winning run.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its eighth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
The SCAC had five D3baseball.com national Team of the Week honors last season.
