SCAC Football Recap - Week Nine

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – SCAC football programs began conference play during week nine of the season.

Austin College improved to 5-3 after a 20-17 thriller over Southwestern University (2-6). 'Roos quarterback Cooper Woodyard scored on a quarterback keeper with just over two minutes left to push Austin College into the lead. Woodyard and the 'Roos would hold on to improve to 1-0 in conference play. 

Texas Lutheran University improved to 6-2 overall with a 21-14 victory over conference rival Trinity University. The Bulldogs defense kept Trinity off of the scoreboard until the third quarter and forced three turnovers to improve to 1-0 in conference.
