SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee field hockey team
will be joining teams from around the country this weekend when
they participate in the “Stick it to Cancer” campaign
in conjunction with the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
High school and college teams will be promoting cancer education in
the community as well as raising funds to help eradicate
cancer.
Sewanee players and coaches will be collecting donations this
weekend as they host two conference games. The Tigers will take on
Hendrix College at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1st and will face
Rhodes College on Sunday, October 3rd at Noon. The proceeds from
all donations will benefit the National Cancer Foundation for
Cancer Research, a national 501(c)(3) located in the Washington,
D.C. Metropolitan Area.
