Meredith Ellis, DePauw University, Field Hockey (Defensive)
MEREDITH ELLIS
OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a senior defensive midfielder
from St. Louis Mo., has been selected as the SCAC Field Hockey
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played Monday, October 13
through Sunday, October 19.
Ellis held the middle of the field for the Tigers
and helped in the two, 3-0 shutout wins over Saint Vincent and
Wooster. The Tiger defense gave up only 7 shots and 4 corners in
two games this weekend and were the first opponent this season to
shut out Wooster.
Showing her skill on both sides of the ball Ellis
also scored the game-winner for the Tigers on Friday against St.
Vincent.
