Sarah Kennedy, Rhodes College, Field Hockey (Offensive)
SARAH
KENNEDY OF RHODES COLLEGE, a
freshman midfielder from Dallas Texas, has been selected as the
SCAC Field Hockey Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played
Monday, September 29 through Sunday, October 5.
Kennedy led the Lynx offensive efforts this
weekend with two goals in two matches.
Kennedy’s first collegiate goal came as the
third of an eventual five in Saturday’s shutout of
Transylvania.
Kennedy led off Sunday’s scoring with a
beautiful deflection of a penalty corner shot 20 minutes into play
in a 2-1 win over visiting conference opponent Hendrix. A
skillful player with great field vision and distribution skills,
Kennedy helps to stabilize midfield play and set
up the attack for Rhodes.
