Men's Basketball Recap (Week 1) - Around the SCAC
SUWANEE, Ga. - The SCAC tipped off the 2009-10 men's basketball season with games Nov. 15-22. The season got off on the right foot when the Austin College Kangaroos came back and upset #12 Texas-Dallas, 79-77 in overtime in the season opener.

SUWANEE, Ga. - In exclusive balloting by SCAC men's head basketball coaches, defending league champion Centre College and Trinity University were tabbed as preseason favorites to capture the SCAC Eastern Division and Western Division championships respectively.

Grizzlies to hold training camp at Birmingham-Southern
MEMPHIS, Tenn. The Memphis Grizzlies will officially begin their ninth season in the Bluff City by holding training camp in Birmingham, Ala., Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today. The weeklong camp will take place at Bill Battle Coliseum on the campus of Birmingham-Southern College from Sept. 29-Oct. 5.

Rhodes' Cory Smith inks professional contract in Luxembourg
