LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Teams continued to battle for the final spots in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament this weekend.
Texas Lutheran University (19-5, 11-2 SCAC) secured the regular season title for the second year in a row after a pair of wins this weekend.
Colorado College (15-10, 10-4 SCAC) finished out conference play and will hold onto the second spot in the SCAC and earn a first-round bye at the tournament. Southwestern University (12-12, 9-4 SCAC) extended their winning streak to four games, and clinched the No. 3 seed, while Centenary College (14-10, 7-7 SCAC) will be the No. 4 seed.
Trinity University (10-13, 5-8 SCAC) has secured their spot in the tournament, but will have to wait until this weekend's competition ends to find out if they will be the No. 5 or 6 seed.
Schreiner University (10-14, 4-9 SCAC) won a pair of games to keep their postseason hopes alive, including a crucial win over Colorado College at home.
Schreiner, Austin College (13-10, 3-10 SCAC) and the University of Dallas (10-13, 4-9 SCAC) are all battling for the final spot.
