Colorado College's Grossenbacher Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – For the first time, Colorado College’s Max Grossenbacher earned recognition for his performance in the classroom and on the field for the Tigers.

Grossenbacher was named to the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, the nation’s most prestigious academic award for student-athletes.

The senior forward was one of 34 men’s soccer student-athletes to earn a spot on the list, taking second team honors. Grossenbacher holds a 3.80 grade point average, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in music.

On the field, Grossenbacher excelled, leading the conference with nine goals, nine assists, 27 points and 98 shots. He helped the Tigers to an 11-1-2 record in conference and a 14-3-3 record overall.

CC earned a spot in the SCAC championship for the second year in a row, but fell to top-seed Trinity University.
