GARLAND, Texas -- Colorado College and Trinity University each picked up a relay win and finished Day One of the 2025 SCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championship tied for the lead following Wednesday evening's opening session at the Garland ISD Natatorium. Colorado College earned its first-ever conference meet victory in the 200-yard medley relay as the foursome of Caleb Peimann, Andrew Colgan, Tomas Gonzalez and Liam McCarthy touched the wall with a winning time of 1:30.73 - which was good for the fourth-fastest time in the history of the event. Trinity University, which had its streak of five straight wins in the event snapped, was second clocking a time of 1:31.16 (the fifth-fastest in SCAC meet history). Trinity finished the evening by taking gold in the 800 freestyle in an impressive time of 6:40.55 - the second-fastest finish in the history of the event. Will Walker, Nate Perez, John Key and Luke Fender collaborated to provide the Trinity men their sixth straight event crown and the 10th win in the past 12 years for the Texas Tigers in the event.
