Elaine Penn To Speak To SCAC Student-Athletes About Building Better Communities
SUWANEE, Ga. - Elaine Penn has been working in higher education for more than a decade. Her years on a college campus have given Penn the chance to work with and learn from students.
Seven SCAC teams honored by ITA
SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference had seven teams earn Intercollegiate Tennis Association honors in 2008-09. A total of 38 men's and women's student-athletes were also named Division III Scholar-Athletes.
Howell Selected to Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame
ATLANTA, Ga. - Peter Howell, Oglethorpe University assistant athletics director and head men’s and women’s tennis coach, has been selected for induction into the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame. Founded by the Georgia Tennis Association, the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame honors those whose excellence both on and off the tennis courts have brought recognition and esteem to themselves and tennis in Georgia.
Trinity Tennis Coaching Duties Are Restructured
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity University Director of Athletics Bob King today announced the restructuring of coaching and staff positions for men’s and women’s tennis. Beginning Aug. 1, Butch Newman will assume the new position of Director of Tennis, Russell McMindes will be the head coach of men’s tennis, and Ryan Takao will continue as head coach of the women’s tennis team.
