
MARQUIS BARROLLE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Ingleside, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, April 16th.
Barrolle jumped to the top of the SCAC leaderboard in the triple jump with a leap of 13.52 meters at the McMurry Open. His jump broke the school record and placed him second overall in the competition.
He also improved upon his performance in the long jump with a mark of 6.76 meters (22-2.25) and sits second in the SCAC - only one centimeter behind his teammate, Grady Shields.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Matt Love of Trinity University threw a new personal best of 51.52 meters in the discus at the McMurry Open, a mark that currently ranks third in the nation.
