JOSH FRY OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Bethesda, Maryland, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 15 through Sunday, March 21.
At the CSU Pueblo Early Bird, Fry ran 4:00.95 for 1500 meters, and with the altitude conversion of 3:55.88, it ranks him atop the SCAC and third in NCAA Division III. Fry also ran 1:58.92 in the 800 meters which ranks him third in the SCAC and 23rd in NCAA Division III.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Max Crowder of Dallas, in his collegiate debut, placed 16th against NAIA, NJCAA Division 1, and NCAA Division 1 athletes with at time of 23.38 at the Texas Southern Relays in Houston. Sophomore Ben Whittemore of Trinity ran two new personal bests in the 5k and 1500 at the ACU Invitational. His marks of 4:10.32 and 15:56 placed him sixth and 13th overall, respectively, in the meet.
