Centre men win 2008 SCAC Cross Country Championship


MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Centre College, after finishing second three of the last four championships, won its first-ever SCAC men's cross country title at the 2008 conference championship meet Saturday morning at Plough Park in Memphis, Tenn.

Behind a 1-2 finish by Chase Wilson and Jason Parks, Centre finished with 38 points - 34 points ahead of second-place and 2007 SCAC team champion Colorado College. Colorado had 72 points, three points clear of DePauw University

By finishing in first with a time of 25:35, Wilson earned SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year honors.
