
NEW ORLEANS, La. - The SCAC had eight men's
cross country teams receive the 2008 USTFCCA All-Academic Team
Award - tied for the most teams from any conference in all of
Division III.
The NESCAC and the UAA also had eight of its teams receive the
honor - which honors teams that have competed and compiled a team
score at an NCAA Regional Meet, and also have a minimum 3.10 team
cumulative grade point average.
Centre College, Colorado College, DePauw University, Hendrix
College, Rhodes College, Sewanee-The University of the South,
Southwestern University and Trinity University were all recognized
as USTFCCA All-Academic Teams.

The USTFCCA also announced its Cross Country All-Academic list with
131 male student-athletes receiving recognition. The SCAC had seven
student-athletes honored.
Jason Parks, Willie Polio and Chase Wilson of Centre College,
Nathan Ellis and Eric Hawley of DePauw University, Drew Kellum of
Hendrix College and Zachary Brush of Trinity University were all
recognized as members of the All-Academic Team.
The award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both
academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award a
student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point
average and must finish in the top 25 percent of the field at their
respective NCAA regional meet.
