DePauw's Soultz Earns NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

SCAC announces Spring 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll
June 23, 2010SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 1,077 student-athletes to the 2010 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 1,029 student-athletes.

McKinley Tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-American
May 26, 2010TOWSON, Md. - After receiving ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District VI recognition along with Laura Litton that qualified them both for Academic All-America consideration, Jennifer McKinley was named Second Team Academic All-America on Wednesday, becoming only the fourth Millsaps student-athlete since 1952 to gain ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA All-America honors.

DePauw Finishes Season at 40-9 after NCAA Loss to Eastern Connecticut State
May 23, 2010EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - DePauw's run at the NCAA Division III Softball Championship came to an end this afternoon as the Tigers dropped an 8-1 decision to Eastern Connecticut State in an elimination game at Gelein Field. The Tigers finished the season at 40-9, while the Warriors improved to 38-5-1 and play later today.

SCAC places 10 on NFCA All-Region teams
May 19, 2010STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) placed 10 student-athletes on the 2010 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region teams. DePauw University placed a league-high four players on the All-Region teams followed by Southwestern University which placed two on the All-Region teams.

Pirates Upset #2 UT-Tyler in First Round of NCAA Regionals
May 14, 2010PINEVILLE, La. – Despite maintaining a lead through five and a half innings of play the Southwestern Pirates' softball team needed to come from behind once again in extra innings to upset the #2 team in the nation and #2 seed at the NCAA Regional, the University of Texas Tyler 3-2. DePauw Wins Fifth Consecutive SCAC President's Trophy
April 28, 2010SUWANEE, Ga. - With spring championships in women's tennis and women's golf - in addition to second-place finishes in men's and women's track & field, baseball and men's tennis - DePauw University cruised to a 127.5 point victory in the race for the 2009-10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference President's Trophy. It is the fifth consecutive all-sports trophy for the Tigers.

SCAC Announces 2010 All-Tournament Softball Team
April 28, 2010CONWAY, Ark. – Led by senior third baseman Katelyn Gola, Southwestern University earned the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Championship after defeating Millsaps College, 3-2 and 8-5, in the conference championship game. In just their second season of existence, it was the first SCAC softball title for the Pirates’ program.

April 25, 2010CONWAY, Ark. - The Southwestern softball team had a daunting task ahead of them on the final day of SCAC Conference Tournament action, needing to defeat Millsaps College twice to earn their first conference title. The program, just in its second year, stepped up to the challenge in a big way, winning 3-2 and 8-5 to be named 2010 SCAC Champions.
