SEGUIN, Texas -- Trinity University's Katie Castillon tossed a three-hit shutout to lead the Tigers to a 4-0 victory over the University of Dallas in a SCAC Softball Championship elimination game Saturday afternoon on the campus of Texas Lutheran. Official Website l Bracket l Postgame Interview
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clinging to a 1-0 lead, Trinity scored three runs in the top of the fifth with two of the runs being unearned.
- Trinity out-hit Dallas 7-3.
- Five of the Tigers' seven hits came from Rylie Goldwait (three) and Rebecca Berreth (two).

NOTABLES
- Dallas has gone 0-2 in two of its last three SCAC Softball Tournament apperances (2015 and 2017).
- Trinity's Castillon improved to 9-13 with the victory. Two of her three complete game shutouts this season have come against Dallas. She blanked them - once again tossing a three-hitter - on March 12.

The Tigers will move on to face Schreiner later today at 4 p.m., in another elimination game. Meanwhile, the Crusaders end their season with a record of 14-28.
