SCAC Softball Recap - Week Nine

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Conference play continued for four of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's softball programs.

Texas Lutheran University remained atop the league standings with a perfect 12-0 record in conference play. The Bulldogs took down the second-place team in the SCAC, Schreiner University, on the road. The Mountaineers moved to 18-11-1 overall after the series, and 9-7 in the SCAC.

Trinity University faced the University of Dallas in a series on the road, taking three of the four games over the Crusaders. The Tigers captured the first two games in one-run contests, winning 2-1 and 3-2. The third game of the series was a 3-0 victory for the Tigers, but UD came back to earn a 7-3 win to close out the weekend.

Trinity moved to 14-14 on the season with the wins and 7-9 in conference play. Dallas is now 6-16 on the season and 1-7 in the SCAC.
