Inclement weather on Friday and Saturday forced the adjustment of the event from a double-elimination tournament into a modified single-elimination tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Centenary plated the game's first run in the top of the second after Mallory Stout drew a two-out bases loaded walk to give the Ladies a 1-0 lead.
- The Ladies maintained their 1-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth. That's when the Bulldogs tied the game at 1-1 with a solo homerun from Snow.
- Texas Lutheran retired Centenary in order in the top of the seventh, setting the scene for Snow's walk-off. With one out, Kali Chatham doubled Sarah Metzer to third. Metzer reached base via a hit by pitch. After an intentional walk of Kelly Jurden loaded the bases, the Ladies looked like they were going to force extra innings after a fielder's choice out. That's when Snow came to the plate and gave the Bulldogs the SCAC title with a single.
