
TAYLOR YANCEY OF TEXAS LUTHERAN
UNIVERSITY, a sophomore first baseman from
Magnolia, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 31st through
Sunday, April 6th.
Yancey was in the middle of an
absolutely dominant offensive weekend for Texas Lutheran as the
Bulldogs scored 62 runs in four games against
Schreiner.
Yancey finished 10-for-16 (.625) with
13 RBI, nine runs and six extra-base hits, including two homers and
four doubles. Yancey ended the weekend with a 1.250 slugging
percentage.
Yancey's outstanding production came in
the first doubleheader of the weekend at Schreiner where she went
7-for-9 with 10 RBI, five runs, one homer and four doubles. She
went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two doubles in the first game before
following that up with an amazing 4-for-4 day with six RBI, four
runs, a grand slam and two doubles.
