
ALYSSA MAKI OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore utility player from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, March 26th.
Maki helped lead the Mountaineers to a 5-1 week, including a conference series win over the University of Dallas. Schreiner also swept a doubleheader against NCAA Division II University of Texas - Permian Basin last week.
Maki hit .591 (13-for-22), recording six extra base hits, 10 runs, 12 RBI and 11 stolen bases. She was not struck out through the six games.
Her six extra base hits included one double, two triples and three home runs. With 27 total bases, Maki posted a 1.227 slugging percentage.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior outfielder Kaymee Gooden of Texas Lutheran University hit .476 for the week with a home run, a triple and three doubles as the Bulldogs won all six games to push their overall win streak to 20 games.
