Allie Holbrook, Trinity University, Pitcher of the Week (Week 10)

Holbrook tied a school record in the sweep-clinching, 7-1, series finale against Dallas on Sunday as the Tiger veteran racked up 16 strikeouts en route to a complete-game two-hitter. For the week, Holbrook notched a 3-1 record, 20.1 innings-pitched, a 1.38 ERA and 0.54 WHIP while collecting 25 strikeouts. At the conclusion of the SCAC regular season, Holbrook stands in the top-five all-time at Trinity in a handful of career statistical categories. She is tied at fourth all-time with her 34th career victory on Sunday while fourth in appearances (83), fifth in strikeouts (227) and in innings-pitched (401.1). In addition, she ranks t-7th all-time in complete games (30) and currently hovers around the top-ten in career ERA (2.88). 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Kinly McCaffrey of Southwestern pitched a pair of complete games, securing two wins for the Pirates and earned a save in the series against Austin College. In 14.2 innings of work, McCaffrey scattered just seven hits, striking out 13 and allowed just one earned run to post a 0.48 ERA on the week. She twirled a gem in the opener against the ‘Roos, pitching a complete game with a career-high nine strikeouts in a 2-1 win. Freshman Ashlyn Strother of Texas Lutheran struck out a career-high 14 and did not allow an earned run in six innings of work in a victory over St. Thomas. Strother allowed just four hits and walked two. Her strikeout per seven innings rate was 16.33. Strother improved to 9-1 this year and to 17-1 in her Bulldog career.
