Oglethorpe's Sattele wins #100


DANVILLE, Ky. - The Oglethorpe women's basketball team secured the No. 1 overall seed in the SCAC Tournament for the first time in program history with a 79-75 victory over Centre on Sunday. The victory also marked coach Ron Sattele's 100th career victory.

In his fifth season at the helm at Oglethorpe, Sattele has a career mark of 100-41 (.709), with 91 of those wins coming over the last four seasons.

Including this year's edition, which is currently 22-3, the Petrels have won 20+ games each of the last four seasons. In 2007-08, Oglethorpe won a program-best 27 games and advanced to the NCAA Division III Final Four.
