DANIELLE
HUBENAK OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore guard
from San Antonio, Texas has been named SCAC Basketball
Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, November 17 and Sunday,
November 23.
Hubenak averaged 23.0 points to lead Trinity to a
1-1 record at the Redlands Tip-Off Classic this past weekend.
She scored a career-high 25 points on Friday night in a loss at
Redlands, then added 21 points on Saturday to lead the team to a
win over Chapman.
Hubenak hit 11-20 (.550) from the field and 21-24
(.875) from the foul line over the weekend, adding five assists and
seven rebounds. She also nailed 3-6 three-pointers over the
weekend. On Saturday, she hit 14-14 from the free throw line to
establish a new school record for most free throws without a miss
in a single game. The mark is also tied for the second-best
performance in SCAC history.
Hubenak leads Trinity with an average of 17.7
points/game this season, hitting 14-24 (.583) from the field. She
has 10 total assists and nine rebounds in three games, and her free
throws this past weekend (21-24) were her first this season. She is
currently second on the team in assists and in three-pointers made
(4-8).
