Anna Findley, Oglethorpe University, Women's Basketball
ANNA FINDLEY
OF OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY, a senior guard from
Hiram, Ga., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for
games played Monday, December 22nd through Sunday, January 4th.
Findley was lights out over the holiday break
leading the Petrels to its seventh straight win including a victory
over #4 Thomas More. Findley shot a red hot 60%
from the field on 23-38 shooting including 13-21 (62%) from long
distance.
Against #4 Thomas More Findley poured in 24 points
and then followed that up with a 31 point outing in the Petrels
against Rhodes in Memphis, Tennessee.
On the week Findley averaged 20.6 points, 3.3
assists and 1.6 steals per game. Findley also
clipped the 500 career rebound mark over the weekend, becoming one
of only seven women in Oglethorpe history to achieve such a mark.
