TUNICA, Miss. - Led by Alyssa Brown and Emily Bachert, the third-ranked Centre College women hold an 11-shot lead after the first day of competition at the 2012 SCAC Championship at The Links at Cottonwoods in Tunica, Miss. Team Scores | Individual Scores
Brown shot a tournament-best 73 (+1) and Bachert followed with a 74 (+2) as the Colonels established themselves as the team to beat at the 2012 championships.
Centre sports a first-round team score of 315, followed by second-place Birmingham-Southern College with a 326. Rhodes College is three shots back of Birmingham at 329.
Play continues on Saturday and concludes on Sunday.
