WYNTER FLORES OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, September 28 through Tuesday, October 4. SCAC Golf Release (Week 4)
Flores finished with a two-day total of 164 to earn a 17th-place finish in the 48-player field at the LeTourneau/Tempest Intercollegiate. Her final round 77 not only represented a 10-shot improvement from her opening round score but catapulted her six places up the individual leaderboard as the Bulldogs lept two teams on Tuesday and finished in sixth place.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Lauren Waltzer of University of Dallas, along with teammate Kimberly Burch, paced the Crusaders with a two-day total of 167, good for a tie for 21st place at the LeTourneau/Tempest Intercollegiate. Junior Madison Wing of Centenary led the Ladies with rounds of 102 and 103 (205, +61) at the LeTourneau/Tempest Intercollegiate.
