Colorado College's Renehan Wins SCAC Women's Lacrosse Elite 19 Award

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- In an announcement made today from conference headquarters, Colorado College's Susie Renehan was named the 2022 SCAC Women's Lacrosse Elite 19 award winner.

Renehan, a junior defender from New York, N.Y., currently holds a cumulative GPA of 3.700 in Psychology and earned First Team All-SCAC honors this season. She helped solidify a defense that posted league-leading totals in ground balls (386) and caused turnovers (176) while finishing with an 11.22 goals-against-average on its way to capturing the program's fourth-straight SCAC Title.

This also marks the fourth-straight year a CC Tiger has earned the Women's Lacrosse Elite 19 honor. Cassis Schafer took home the award in both 2019 and 2020, and teammate Natalie Schluter won the award last year.

Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each of the league's 19 sponsored sports as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First, Second or Third Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
