EMMA PERTUIT OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior midfielder from Seabrook, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 11 through Sunday, April 17. (Women's Lacrosse Weekly Release - Week 9)
Pertuit led the Pirates' defensive effort last weekend, combining for eight ground balls, 10 draw controls and three caused turnovers as the Pirates went 1-1 on its Midwest swing. She had team-highs in both ground balls (five) and caused turnovers (four) as well as draw controls (seven) in Saturday's 20-4 win at Augsburg.
