RAVEN GARCIA OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior attacker from Georgetown, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 11 through Sunday, April 17. It marks the second consecutive week she has received the honor. (Women's Lacrosse Weekly Release - Week 9)
Garcia extended her career program scoring mark this week, adding seven goals in two games this week, as the Pirates went 1-1 on their road trip. She had a game-high five goals in Saturday's 20-4 win at Augsburg.
Her seven points gives her 187 for her career and she is now the Southwestern leader in goals scored as her seven this past week gives her 120 for her career, four more than the previous mark. Her next assist will equal the program record in that category.
