
MABEL FOWLER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Uvalde, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, January 27 to Sunday, February 2.
Fowler swam the 1650 against Division I UIW and had a stellar first collegiate performance. She took it out with an aggressive 5:03 at the 500 and went on to break a school record at the 1000 with a time of 10:14 (currently top 1000 time in DIII). She took the win in 17:10.11, setting a new school record and NCAA 'B' time in the 1650.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Rosie Wade of University of the Ozarks led the Eagles to victory over Williams Baptist College in a dual on Saturday. She led off the winning 400 medley relay and anchored the winning 400 free relay in a school record time. Her individual wins came in the 50 free, 100 back, and 50 fly.
