ALLI ZIEHM AND EMMA KESTERSON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, have been selected as the SCAC Women’s Doubles Team of the Week for matched played from Monday, March 14 to Sunday, March 20. (SCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 7)
Ziehm, a junior from Little Elm, Texas, and Kesterson, a junior from Fort Worth, Texas, posted a 2-1 record over the week at No. 2 doubles with wins over Whitman and No. 12 Mary Washington, and a loss to No. 19 Skidmore. The duo defeated Whitman’s Erica Mock and Camilla Schwed 8-5 and secured an 8-2 win over Mary Washington’s Claire Colemana and Amanda Hagino.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Ruth Hill and first-year Olivia Kim of Trinity improved to 9-1 against NCAA III doubles competition with a pair of victories Saturday, part of the Tigers’ sweep of Whitman and Schreiner. The line-two pair put together a strong 8-4 decision against the Blues in the early match, then shutout the Mountaineers’ second-line crew en route to Trinity’s sixth shutout victory over in-region opponents.
