SCAC has nine named to AVCA All-Region Teams

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Led by 2008 SCAC Player-of-the-Year Audra Gentry of Southwestern University, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference placed nine players on AVCA All-Region Teams in an announcment made today.

Southwestern had four players earn recognition and three were honored as First Team All-South. In addition to Gentry, Samantha Lingamfelter and Lindsay Thompson were named First Team and teammate Lauren Brown was an Honorable Mention selection.

Trinity University placed two players on the All-South Region Team, led by First Team selection Caroline Keener. Megan Guest was an Honorable Mention pick.

Jordan Anderton of Austin College also received Honorable Mention status in the South Region.

In the West Region, Anna Clithero of Colorado College was a First Team selection and teammate Emily Perkins was selected Honorable Mention.
