EMILY GNECCO OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year runner from Livermore, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 6)
Gnecco led the Tiger women's cross country team to a second overall finish, but the team was first among NCAA III schools, at the OLLU Invitational on Friday. Gnecco was third overall, moving up the entire race to post a personal-record time of 23:43.5 in the 6K race. She was the first NCAA III runner to cross the line, besting her time at last week's UIW Invitational by more than two minutes.
