There is no shortage of reasons for Stolle being recognized by the conference. The Falls City, Texas native has exemplified what a Division-III student-athlete can be, as she’s not only been a force on the basketball court but also the community and classroom.

When looking at Stolle’s four years at Texas Lutheran, it’s natural to first notice her outstanding accomplishments within the Bulldogs’ women’s hoops program. The senior center is TLU’s career blocks leader by a huge margin, actually setting the career mark after her junior season. She ends her career with 195 blocks. The previous TLU career mark was 102.

She also scored more than 400 points in her four-year career and played a pivotal role in the transformation of the TLU program into an SCAC-title contender and NCAA Tournament participant.

For everything Stolle’s accomplished on the court though, her long (and ever-growing) list of community and campus activities she’s involved in may be even more impressive.

The question is, where do you start when talking about all of Stolle’s accomplishments?

On campus, she is seemingly everywhere, and unsurprisingly, she was recognized by her peers by being named this year’s Homecoming Queen.

She is involved in TLU’s President’s Black & Gold Council, an organization that works with the alumni relations and development office to build connections with alumni. She helped put together a number of events, including New Bulldog Cookout, Thank-a-thon and Homecoming Family Weekend. She will also speak at TLU’s Front Row this spring. Front Row is TLU Athletics’ main fund-raising event and is hosted by TLU alumnus Verne Lundquist.

Stolle is also involved in TLU’s Peer Mentor program, helping first-year students transition into college life. She helped put together Bulldog Orientation during the opening week of classes, Family Weekend and First-Year Celebration. She was also a presenter the National Conference on Students In Transition in Atlanta in 2013.

An education major, Stolle has also worked with TLU’s Education Department and the Student Education Association. She has observed classes at virtually every elementary school in Seguin.

She has also been involved in campus ministry projects as part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). She’s been part of TLU’s Women’s Prayer Breakfast, and the Women’s Spirituality Bible Study.

Her involvement doesn’t just end on campus though. Stolle has given back to the community through TLU’s H.O.T. Dogs and Day of the Dogs. Her and the rest of the TLU women’s basketball players also spent time volunteering t the Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter.

It’s clear that Seguin and Texas Lutheran have left an impression on Stolle, but it’s just as clear that she has left her impression on them.
