MANY, La. – McMurry finished third in the men's portion of the Bash at the Bend at Cypress Bend Golf Resort on Tuesday.
The War Hawks moved up from fifth place after rounds of 317 and 320.
Eli Brinton finished ninth to lead the War Hawks at 13 over with
Chase Allison and
Cullen Timms just one stroke behind.
Caden Cawvey was 26
th at 20 over and
Tripten Roberts finished 42
nd at 29 over.
Competing as an individual,
Owen Morris was 35
th with matching rounds of 85.
Brinton had rounds of 81 and 76 for 157. Brinton had birdies on holes six, seven and nine on Tuesday to bring his total to four for the tournament.
Allison finished with rounds of 78 and 80 with Timms coming in with a 77 and an 81 for 158. Allison had his second birdie of the tournament, on hole 10 on Tuesday. Timms ended the trip with three birdies.
Cawvey had rounds of 81 and 83 while Roberts went 86-87. Cawvey had his first birdie of the tournament on Tuesday, getting it on the 10
th hole.
The tournament was the last event for the fall season for the men.
For the McMurry women,
Raelynn Leifeste finished 26
th with rounds of 96 and 97 for 26
th place. She finished with one birdie.
Karen Santos was 33
rd with rounds of 91 and 106.
Kaitlyn Neel was 35
th, going 102-98 for 200. She had a birdie on the eighth hole on Tuesday.
The McMurry women finish the fall season at the University of Dallas Crusader Cup in WestWorth Village next week.
