Texas Lutheran Falls to LeTourneau, 88-74

SEGUIN, Texas -- Despite 16 points from Trey Blackmore (San Antonio/Cole), the Texas Lutheran men's basketball team (2-5) dropped its Monday night matchup with LeTourneau 88-74 at Memorial Gymnasium.

Blackmore led the Bulldogs with 16 points while Easton Allen (New Braunfels/Marion) and Teddy Tapken (Austin/Lake Travis) finished with 13 points each. Allen would tie with Mason Wallace (San Antonio/Judson) for a team-high eight rebounds while Wallace would be the final Bulldog in double figures with 12 points.

Texas Lutheran trailed 48-29 at halftime, never recovering from the YellowJackets 31-10 run to open the game on Monday. The Bulldogs trailed by as many as 26 points in the first half. The Bulldogs would never take the lead on Monday but would battle in the second half to shrink the deficit to as low as 12 points, outscoring the YellowJackets 45-40 in the second half.

The YellowJackets shot 51.6% from the field on the night, including a 52% mark from beyond the arc.

The Bulldogs will look to rebound on Friday, Dec. 6, as they face UT-Dallas in non-conference action. Tip-off is set for 7 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
