The Colorado College women's swimming and diving team finished in second place at the Southern College Athletic Conference Championships for the third consecutive season.
The Tigers finished with 815 points behind team champion Trinity University with 1,114.
Keller Pooley opened the day by winning the 1-meter diving event after finishing second in the event last season. Pooley scored 414 points, 7.5 more than runner-up and teammate
Emma Krasemann, who won the won the 3-meter title on Friday.
Krasemann was named the league's Diver of the Meet for the second consecutive year.
Kylie Spalt finished second in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 18:09.04, while
Nabila Argueta was fourth.
Malie Hewitt, who won the 100 breaststroke race on Friday, finished second in the 200 breaststroke on Saturday with a time of 2:22.64.
Alyssa Tunggal, meanwhile, placed second in the 200 butterfly in 2:09.84.
Julia Cox earned all-SCAC honors with a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle in 52.42 seconds.
The quartet of Cox,
Megan Simonson,
Adeline Turner and
Sarah Buchman wrapped up the meet with a second-place result in the 400 freestyle relay with a school-record time of 3:30.22, breaking an 11-year old record. In addition, Cox set a school record with an opening 100 yard split of 51.97 seconds. Simonson was the winner of the prestigious Elite 19 Award.
"We were able to secure second place with a strong performance during the final's session," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "I am incredibly proud of individual and team performances through the meet, they showed grit and resilience and I am excited to see what's next for this team."
