Things to Note:
The Celts joined the SCAC in 2019, and were unable to participate in the SCAC tournament due to their probationary period. The last time St. Thomas was in a conference tournament was 2018 in the Red River Athletic Conference, in which they lost to LSU-Alexandria 1-0 in the first round.
Lexi Stinson is in her fourth season as the head coach of the UD women's soccer team. Stinton has led UD to a winning record now for two consecutive seasons and has gotten UD to three straight SCAC tournaments, winning the quarterfinal game in each of the previous two. In 2018, the Crusaders defeated Texas Lutheran in a penalty kick shootout 4-2 after tying the Bulldogs in regulation and overtime 2-2. In 2019, Dallas defeated the Bulldogs again, this time blanking Texas Lutheran 2-0.
Nick Morrison is in his second season as the head coach of the St. Thomas women's soccer team. In 2019, Morrison's team finished with a record of 5-8-2 and a conference record of 2-5-1, finishing in a tie with Texas Lutheran for six place.
UD's Alyssa Mencacci (League City, Texas), the 2019 SCAC New Comer of the Year, was held without a goal for the first four games of the season, but has scored in each of the last two. Mencacci's goals against Austin College and St. Thomas were the game-winning goals.
St. Thomas' Riley Keck and Desiree Lewis scored the first two goals of the year in the win over Austin College. Lewis' goal was the game-winner and was scored on a penalty kick.
UD's defensive line and goalkeeper Macey Henderson (San Antonio, Texas) have held opponents scoreless three times this season, but only once in Irving.
