The Colorado College women's tennis team nearly rallied from an early 2-1 deficit after the doubles matches, but dropped a 5-4 decision to Concordia University (Neb.) Thursday evening at Burghart Courts.

Tess Rubin captured the No. 1 match, 8-4, over Marlene Maier and Katelinn Wurm, but the Bulldogs prevailed at the other two spots for a 2-1 lead.
The teams split the six singles matches, with each winning a match in three sets. Rubin dropped a tough match at the top spot to Maier, 6-3, 3-6, 1-0(6), but senior
Annie Zlevor won the No. 2 match, 6-0, 6-1 and Hall won at No. 4, 6-0, 6-3.
Wurm defeated freshman
Elise Chassman, 6-3, 6-4, at the No. 3 spot and Angela Bell downed freshman Emily Faulks, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 5 to clinch the match for Concordia. Fellow freshman
Lily Salzman held on to win the No. 6 match, 6-2, 4-6, 1-0(5) over Ansley Gates.
The Tigers (0-4) battle Southwest Minnesota State on Friday, March 8 at Burghart Courts, beginning at 4 p.m.
