Box Score Colorado College recorded its seventh clean sheet of the season on Friday night as the 24th-ranked Tigers cruised to a 3-0 victory over Centenary College on Friday at Washburn Field.
CC, which lowered its season goals-against average to 0.31, has outscored its opponents 12-1 at home this season.
Freshman midfielder
Hayden Cogswell scored the only goal Colorado College needed in the sixth minute, jumping on a deflected ball and sending it into the right side of the net from eight yards away.
Junior midfielder
Tim Huettel doubled CC's lead 3:34 into the second half when he curled a direct kick into the upper left corner from 23 yards.
Sophomore forward
Daniel Krueger closed out the scoring in the 74th minute when he converted off of a cross from Huettel with a shot to the lower left corner.
Huettel, who has at least one point in four of five games this season, now ranks second on the team with three goals and 11 points, and is tied for first with three assists.
CC finished with an 18-4 advantage in total shots and took the only four corner kicks of the contest.
It marks the seventh time in nine games the Tigers allowed fewer than five shots on target in a game.
Freshman goalkeeper
Keller Mochel stopped a pair of shots in the second half en route to the first shutout of his career.
Colorado College improved to 7-1-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Senior Rylan Whan made five saves for the Gents, who slipped to 4-6-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the SCAC.
The Tigers play host to Austin College on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
