Baseball Drops Pair To Texas Lutheran
The Centenary baseball team completed its three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series on Sunday versus the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs as the Diamond Gents fell 9-1 and 12-2 to suffer a series sweep.

Coushatta, La. - The Centenary baseball team completed its three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series on Sunday versus the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs as the Diamond Gents fell 9-1 and 12-2 to suffer a series sweep.
Sunday's action between the Diamond Gents (2-4, 0-3 SCAC) and Bulldogs (3-0, 3-0 SCAC) was played at Red River High School after heavy rain on Friday evening in Shreveport caused game two of the series to be suspended in the top of the eighth inning with Centenary trailing TLU 3-1 at Shehee Stadium. A decision was made to move the remainder of the series to an alternate location which featured a turf field after more heavy rain on Sunday caused Shehee Stadium to be unplayable. A third and final game followed the resumption of game two, which began at Noon on Sunday, as TLU completed a sweep of the conference-opening series for both teams after the Bulldogs won the series opener 7-4 on Friday afternoon.
Centenary returns to action next weekend as the Maroon and White continue conference play against Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
