SHREVEPORT, Louisiana - The Concordia Texas Cross Country team closed out the 2024 campaign strong at the SCAC Championships. Freshman
Ashley Ramirez shined as she crushed her previous PR by over seven minutes with a time of 31:58.75.
In the women's 6k race,
Ashley Rivera (27:47.91, 76th place) led the charge as the Tornados placed 10th overall. Ramirez finished 85th, while
Ryle Whorton (34:11.74) and
Lluvia Rodriguez (35:11.67) grabbed the places right behind her to round out the scoring.

The men's team finished in seventh place in the 8k as
Thomas Hughes crossed the finished line in 32nd at 27:18.1.
Samuel Valdez was next to finish for CTX at 29:06.8, while
Cade Ehlers was next up at 29:38.8 for 76th.
Daniel Bizima (31:36.0) and
Damon Vasquez (31:36.3) finished concurrently at 98th and 99th place.
Edward Wells completed the scoring for Concordia with a time of 32:26.9.

Concordia Texas has now completed the 2024 cross country slate as most of the Tornados will now shift their focus to the 2025 track & field season.
