Box Score Ryan Young buried a long three-pointer with a fraction over two seconds remaining to give Colorado College an 83-80 victory over Texas Lutheran University on Friday night at Reid Arena.
Young finished the contest with a career-high 20 points, making seven of eight shots from the floor, including four of five from behind the arc.
The Tigers led 77-69 after young knocked down a jumper with 1:21 to go, but TLU mounted a furious comeback and tied the game on Zach Behr's layup with 10 seconds remaining.
The Bulldogs had one chance to tie the game, but a desperation heave by Jordan Kouremetis from just over midcourt sailed wide of the backboard.
Eric Houska led CC with 23 points, the third time this season he scored 20 or more points. The senior guard also dished out a game-high seven assists and grabbed four rebounds.
John Hatch added 17 points for the Tigers and almost completed a double-double with a game-high nine rebounds.
Sterling Holmes led Texas Lutheran with 19 points, while Behr was close behind with 18.
Colorado College improved to 3-9 overall and 2-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Tigers play host to Southwestern University on Sunday at 2 p.m.
