Ethan Spillers set a school record in the fly and IM

Spillers Sets Two Records At Hendrix Sprints

Clarksville, Ark. - The men's swim and dive team lost the Hendrix College Sprints on Thursday night in Conway while two school record was broken.

The Eagles lost to Hendrix College 146-24. Ethan Spillers broke two school records – 50 fly (24.02) and the 100 IM (59.19).

In the 200 free, Nathan Jennings placed fifth with a time of 2:01.08. Jack Lopez placed fifth in the 50 free with a time of 23.95. Alan Ramirez was ninth (27.55) and Logan Basham was tenth (27.97). Spillers won the 100 IM in addition to breaking the school record. Tyler Young was seventh in the event with a time of 1:06.10. Spillers also won the 50 fly in addition to breaking the school record. Several teammates followed as Tyler Hamrick placed seventh with a time of 26.83. Young was eighth with a time of 29.15 and Basham was ninth with a time of 30.00. In the 100 free, Lopez placed sixth with a time of 52.57. Jennings was tenth with a time of 56.15. Hamrick placed third in the 50 back with a time of 28.51. Ramirez was sixth (32.35) and Basham was seventh (33.59). 

The Eagles will break for winter and return to the pool January 17 traveling to Conway for the Hendrix College Dual.
